19th C Bling

An exhibition of over 200 rare pieces of Australian gold jewellery sourced from major museums including the Powerhouse Museum, the NGV and The Gold Museum, as well as private collectors, showcasing the social history of Australia’s goldfields. Supported by The Victorian State Government, The Ian Potter Foundation, The Gordon Darling Foundation and Federation University. My work on this project included:

• Research and curatorial assistance, including theme and interpretation development, exhibition design.
• Management of external loans and relationship with regional partner Buda Castlemaine
• Editorial work on Exhibition publication
• Essay “Lola Montez: More than a mistress” featured in exhibition publication
